Model overview based on user reviews
The Cooper&Hunter CHML-U14RK2 air conditioner, designed for a 41 m² area with two indoor units, has received mixed reviews. One user expressed dissatisfaction, highlighting a significant issue with high standby power consumption of approximately 150W, which leads to increased electricity costs. They also mentioned difficulties in getting clear answers from the service center regarding this issue. On the other hand, a review for a similar model, the CHML-U28RK4, praised its effective heating capabilities and reliability, noting that it can heat a house almost until late autumn. However, this positive feedback was for a different model with more indoor units. Overall, potential buyers should be aware of the energy consumption concerns with the CHML-U14RK2 model.

great model, love it

We were looking for a vartant for a private house with a ground floor option of 80 squares and an office that is the first floor and second floor, a bedroom and a vestibule of 2 floors, a total area of 130 squares, the option was taken for 4 exits for 4 indoor units. why didn’t they do full ventilation, don’t ask, but look at the price tag, 5-6 times more expensive. Immediately you get 1 outdoor unit and 4 indoor units. Everything was planned for reconnaissance for each internal one in advance, everything was hidden under mineral wool and on the outside there is only one block of not very large sizes. Why I took less power than my area, I’ll just say, when you sleep, you don’t use the conder, when you cut it to the minimum at the bottom and cool the top. In general, there are almost no such options for everything to work together.
I liked that it really can heat the house almost until late autumn, when the minus begins on the street and only then you switch to stationary heating. in terms of quality, the cooper seems to have been on the market for a long time, and it goes great without problems. The most important advantage of 4 channels of the indoor unit.

After installing the CHML-U14RK2, it turned out: in standby mode (when the indoor units are off) - it consumes 0.7A (approximately 150W). For comparison, all the other three splits together consume < 0.1A (i.e., < 20W) in standby mode. Ambient temperature: 20-25C. Interestingly, at the service center, they kept transferring me from one specialist to another, explaining that "your household appliances consume current in standby mode too," or that the compressor heater is working and current is supplied to the windings at an ambient temperature of up to 60 degrees, and that this is normal operation of the unit, etc. But the fact remains: even in standby mode (i.e., when the air conditioner is not working) consuming 150W, we get 150*24*30*12=1296kW per year. That is, at the current electricity price in Ukraine of 1.68 UAH/kW, the cost is 2177.28 UAH "just for having the air conditioner present and not turned on." What about the modern energy-saving technologies they boast about on the website https://cooperandhunter.ua/ua/catalog/nordic_multi_light_r32_outdoor_units/? I suspect that somewhere inside the unit there is no thermal relay and the heating is connected constantly (service center specialists over the phone couldn't specify what kind of heating is installed, its power). And it heats the compressor even in the summer. However, I can't check it myself because the unit is installed and checking requires removing it. I haven't received an answer to my question from [email protected] yet. I hope my comment will be useful to someone.

great delay in the mode of cleaning up the inlet (constantly working on the old block?) the official SC does not know how much the air conditioner is to blame
