Right out of the box, it is equipped with three large fans with a diameter of 140 mm, and the manufacturer claims a total of 11 places for fans, as well as 2 areas for placing water pumps (360 mm at the top or 420 mm at the front). In order to optimize airflow, the manufacturer used a mesh covering for the front and top panels, and also partially perforated the side cover and tray. At the top and bottom of the case there are also dust filters with latches and magnetic Velcro. Despite the emphasis on high cooling performance, the Chieftec APEX AIR also takes noise into account. Three pre-installed 140mm PWM fans operate efficiently and quietly, even at high speeds. However, the mesh front panel may allow more noise to pass through compared to cases with solid panels and additional noise insulation. |
