The line of printers for home with the “G” index from the Japanese company Canon entered the market at the dawn of 2016. The PIXMA G3400 model is its senior representative, on board of which there was a place for a Wi-Fi module and a built-in CISS.
Ink control
The ink reservoirs are implemented in a rather interesting way: they are hidden on both sides of the paper output tray and through transparent inserts on the front panel it is possible to track the remaining ink level in each individual container. The black ink tank has a capacity of 135 mL, and the three colour tanks (for cyan, yellow and magenta) can hold 70 mL of ink. Refilling containers is carried out from the appropriate ink bottles and even a child will be able to cope with it.
Performance indicators
Fully-filled tanks provide up to 6,000 pages in black and white and up to 7,000 colour sheets. But you should not count on the speed performance of the device: in b / w it can print about 9 pages / min., And in colour — up to 5 sheets of A4 format in 1 minute. The printing of photographs is traditionally carried out even more slowly — it will take approximately 60 seconds to print one 10x15 photo.
Remote control
The model is designed to work both in tandem with a computer, and independently of it via a wireless Wi-Fi network. All functions are controlled in the associated Canon PRINT mobile gadget app. It allows you to quickly send a document to a print queue, scan an image, or set the number of copies of a document you need(which cannot be done directly from the MFP). In addition, through the application, the device connects to the "cloud" printing services Google Cloud Print and PIXMA Cloud Link.
World of creativity
The low cost of printing opens the door to a limitless world of creativity. An abundance of free Canon Creative Park templates for creating DIY calendars, photo frames, envelopes and other paper products will unleash the creativity of children. For example, younger children will like making a panorama postcard, and older children will like printing and gluing entire paper cities.
