Additional features flash Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14 EX:
The ring macro flash is designed primarily to create flat, shadowless lighting for macro photography on a large scale. When shooting at close range, lighting can be tricky: the subject is too close to the lens to use normal lighting. The macro ring flash eliminates this problem by using twin flash lamps mounted on the end of the lens (an adapter can be used if necessary). To create the desired illumination, the flashes can fire either together or separately. The exposure is set automatically using E-TTL metering. An exposure confirmation signal is also provided. The model has two emitters, the power of which can be varied (13 steps of adjustment). The light ratio can be changed from 1:8 to 8:1. When using a flash, both horizontal and vertical placement of emitters is possible. The maximum guide number is 14. The minimum firing distance is 20mm from the front of the flash. When used with Speedlite 550EX/420EX flash units, E-TTL remote control of up to three groups of slave units is possible. All major modes are supported - FE-lock (flash exposure lock), FEB (flash bracketing), corrections possible, manual operation, modeling light, stroboscopic mode, fast sync.
- Fast sync modes
- Second curtain sync modes
- Exposure compensation ±3 EV exposure in 1/2 or 1/3 EV increments
- Compatible lenses: EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, EF 100 f/ 2.8 Macro, MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x
