For small volumes it is quite suitable, but if you need to process juice for more than just a couple of glasses, then too much will go into waste. The advantage for me is that with a wide neck, you can load the whole fruit into the juicer, or at most cut it in half, which is how I squeeze juice from both apples and oranges.
