Braun HD 380

In 2015, Braun released a new series of hair dryers — Satin Hair PowerPerfection. Its slogan is “Powerful. Compact. Lungs." shows the main properties of new products. Although this is not all that they will please buyers.

HD380 — golden mean

The series includes five models with different power: for HD180 it is 1800 W, HD380 and HD385 — 2000 W, HD580 and HD585 — 2500 W. The most balanced and popular is the HD380, which includes all the necessary features for home use — ionization and good power. The HD180 model is devoid of ionization, while the HD580 and HD585 are suitable primarily for hairdressers and owners of thick and long hair. The HD580 differs from the HD380 only in increased power, while the HD585 also has a diffuser in the kit.

Thoughtful ergonomics

The HD380 allows you to select warm or hot air supply temperatures and high or low air flow. Settings are determined by two large "sliders" and are easy to change without looking at the hair dryer. Those who regularly use the air supply without heating will appreciate the presence of a special button on the handle of the hair dryer. But for ionization there is no separate regulator — it is always on.

The manufacturer focuses on the compactness and lightness of hair dryers from the Satin Hair PowerPerfection series. Only the top of the dryer has been reduced, and the handle is as large and comfortable as other models. However Braun does not give exact figures for dimensions and weight. Therefore, it is impossible to accurately compare the parameters of the HD380 with competitors. Judging by customer reviews, it is more compact than some competitors.
