Model overview based on user reviews
The Bosch PHO 1500 06032A4020 electric planer is a highly regarded tool for DIY enthusiasts, offering a smooth ride and excellent functionality. With a power consumption of 550 W and a rotation speed of 19,500 rpm, it effectively planes materials like chipboard and even oak with its sharp, double-sided knives. Users appreciate its ability to plane neatly without scattering chips, and it operates quietly without overheating, even under heavy load. The tool is lightweight at 2.4 kg, making it convenient for one-handed use, and features three V-grooves for precise bevelling. However, it lacks included accessories, requiring separate purchases for additional tools like guides. Despite its lower power, it's ideal for hobbyists, providing a trouble-free experience and requiring no subsequent polishing.
Pros

great model, love it

An excellent plane - it planes neatly, the chips don’t fly around. It makes no noise during operation and practically does not heat up, even if you put a heavy load on it. Very sharp knives - they go like clockwork, even on chipboard, even on oak.

Great tool for the DIYer

I liked the fact that the planer works well even in the hands of a beginner. I mean, it's pretty hard to mess up the surface with it. It removes irregularities qualitatively, goes along the material gently, does not require subsequent polishing. If you are looking for a trouble-free DIY tool, you can't go wrong!

Fast electric planer for clean work

Planer Bosch PHO 1500 is very light (only 2.4 kg, it is convenient to work with one hand). It has electronic shaft balancing, so vibrations are almost not felt during operation. A distinctive feature of this model is the high speed of rotation of the engine. Due to its speed, the tool, despite its low power, easily cuts coniferous wood (but with hard wood, such as oak and cedar, there may be problems). The planer has only one knife (this “trick” is typical for almost all Bosch electric planers). But even with one cutting blade, the tool makes a clean surface without scuffs and defects in one pass, which then does not need to be sanded. The outsole has 3 V-grooves for easy edging for precise bevelling.

Wish it was a little better

The motor air intake and the chip ejection port are on the same side. Because of this, dust and pieces of wood can be sucked into the case, clogging the ventilation holes. Therefore, during operation, it is better to connect a good vacuum cleaner to the planer so as not to be distracted by cleaning it. It is also worth noting that the tool is sold without accessories at all (not quite typical for this brand). If you need any accessories for work (such as a longitudinal and angular guide or a quarter sampling depth limiter), then you will have to buy them separately.

"Bosch" for a private master

The Bosch PHO 1500 has a 550W motor (of which 280W is usable power) and the maximum cutting depth is limited to 1.5mm. This is not much at all, and such a tool is most likely not suitable for professional work. But the "green" Bosch is not designed for this. Electric planers of this series are designed for those who work in wood as a hobby and do not work in the workshop full time.
