Model overview based on user reviews
The Bosch C3 charger is a reliable and safe device, praised for its automatic charging mode and ability to revitalize tired batteries. It is particularly effective with maintenance-free batteries, as it does not cause the electrolyte to boil. Users appreciate its hands-off operation, allowing it to be left unattended for extended periods. However, the device struggles with heavily discharged batteries, requiring an initial boost from another source if the voltage drops below 6 volts. While some users have experienced issues with the mode selection button becoming stuck, the overall feedback highlights its durability and effectiveness over several years of use. Despite some concerns about service support, many recommend the Bosch C3 for its ability to maintain and fully charge batteries without supervision.

German gadget - in the sense of being stubborn
If the battery discharges below 6 volts (didn't turn off the headlights in winter), you won't be able to charge it up to 12 volts with this gadget. It will consider it faulty and refuse to charge it. (You'll first have to bring the battery up to 9 volts with a simple charger)
If the battery is working properly, it will really charge it to the MAXIMUM (though not in a hurry), while simultaneously solving the problems that have been chemically treated for years (++), the tired battery really comes to life. Supervision at work is unnecessary. The electrolyte does not evaporate. (I have experience with Ista for 11 years, the battery worked, of which the last 6 were invigorated by this device, died suddenly - by shorting one can)
German stubbornness to heavily discharged batteries.
I recommend buying it. I am very satisfied!

Very reliable, charges maintenance-free batteries excellently. I confidently leave it in the garage for several days. After the main charge, it switches to a maintenance mode with gentle current and voltage, bringing the battery to a full charge. Maintenance-free batteries are especially well-suited for this charger, as it does not cause the electrolyte to boil vigorously, which is very important for sealed batteries.
Safe, reliable.

Automatic charging mode, no need to follow up. It hasn't broken in 6 years.
A battery that is set to zero does not charge. But you can get around this shortcoming. We connect 3 18650 batteries in series, connect this assembly to the battery in parallel and it starts charging. 18650 can be turned off immediately.

The automatic charger from the German company Bosch is suitable both for replenishing the energy reserves of motorcycle batteries and for recharging all types of car batteries(classic lead-acid, gel, AGM).

Automatic selection

In the arsenal of the device, there are 4 modes of operation. Two of them are designed to charge motorcycle batteries with a current of 0.8 A (with a voltage of 6 or 12 V and a capacity of 1.2-14 A / h), and two more are for restoring the performance of automotive batteries with a current of 3.6 and 3.8 A, respectively (with a voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 14-120 Ah). When connected to the battery terminals using the supplied "crocodiles", the device itself determines in which mode to charge.

Replenishment of energy

Many owners of the charger complain that it does not see batteries with a very low charge (less than 4 V). Therefore, you should not count on help in restoring a completely dead battery using the Bosch C3. Nevertheless, when the voltage of the car battery drops to 5-6 V, pulse charging effectively handles with replenishing energy reserves. The duration of the charging process is directly proportional to the capacity of the battery.

Security

The device has several degrees of protection at once: against incorrect polarity (the corresponding indicator is placed on the case), overcharging and overheating. And you can safely use it without disconnecting the battery from the car's on-board network.

Convenience

A special hook is provided on the upper part of the device case for easy hanging of the charger (for example, fixing it in the hole of the car hood). But for some reason, the manufacturer did not take care of the cover or box for storing the device. Moreover, thanks to its small dimensions, the charger does not take up much space.
