Low-cost battery grinder

Angle grinder Bort BWS-18Li-125 is a good and cheap cordless grinder from a manufacturer that focuses on buyers who do not want to overpay for fashionable and promoted brands. She has pretty decent features. Inside the case, for example, is a modern brushless motor (it is lighter and consumes less energy than traditional brushed motors) with an electronic protection module, which is quite unusual for a low-cost tool.

Unusual design, original options

The surprises don't end with the brushless motor. The grinder has quite a lot (as for a tool from the lower price category) of pleasant options. It has a speed control feature. It is made in the form of a button that allows you to switch between two operating modes: 4000 rpm (to save battery power) and 9000 rpm (for heavy work). There is no full-fledged function of maintaining speed, but the electronics itself switches the angle grinder from one mode to another if the load increases or falls. An interesting detail: the grinder has an LED backlight. Such functionality in grinders is extremely rare.

But the build quality of the Bort tool sometimes leaves much to be desired. For example, grinders of this model almost without exception have a strong backlash of the start button, which causes discomfort during operation and spoils the impression of a solid angle grinder.

Difficult to find cheaper

The tool is sold complete with two 4 Ah batteries (in economy mode, one battery will last about an hour) and a charger. All this is neatly packed in a suitcase made of thick fabric.

Such a device will surely find work from time to time in a private house, garage or country house. And there are actually no cheaper machines among small cordless grinders for circles with a diameter of 125 mm.
