Master of Disguise
The Black&Decker MT218KB multitool is part of the Multievo system. It consists of a "base" (the body that houses the motor and electronics), a battery, and interchangeable heads. Complete with Black & Decker MT218KB only a nozzle for drilling and tightening fasteners is supplied. But other Multievo heads are also compatible with this base, which turn the multitool into an impact drill, electric jigsaw, reciprocating saw, circular saw, milling machine, orbital grinder, renovator and even a pump-compressor.
Ergonomics at its best
In terms of quality and ergonomics, the MT218KB multitool fully complies with Black&Decker standards. Its body is made of good and durable plastic. The tool lies comfortably in the hand in any position thanks to the corrugated rubberized inserts that cover almost the entire surface of the handle.
The torque adjustment clutch has 10 positions. The range of adjustments allows you to clearly set up a screwdriver for screwing screws into soft wood or drywall and not be afraid that the tool will pull the fasteners and damage the surface of the material.
Interchangeable heads are removed and installed in one motion without the use of any tools. They sit on the splined shaft of the base with virtually no play and are securely fixed with a lock. Although the cost of interchangeable Multievo heads is not encouraging (from $30 and up), the Black&Decker MT218KB, together with additional attachments, is definitely cheaper than a similar set of good power tools and takes up much less space.
