Beelink set-top boxes are in demand due to their flexible shell and affordable pricing policy. One of the brand's popular models is the GT1 media player, powered by the top 8-core Amlogic S912 chip.

Electronic hardware

The media player has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, with the last digit being expandable by installing a microSD standard drive into the slot on board the set-top box. The card can be used as a portable device or as an extension of the internal memory. In general, the hardware handles 4K video files without a hitch, handles games and demonstrates a nimble interface responsiveness.

Android OS

The Beelink GT1 software platform is based on the Android Marshmallow OS with open access to the Google Play Market app store. The set-top box is connected to the network via a wire (Ethernet port) or via a wireless connection (a dual-band Wi-Fi module is hidden in the “innards” of the model case). In addition, the media player can itself distribute the Internet to other devices, working as a Wi-Fi access point.

"Pumping" network capabilities

In early copies of the model, sometimes there were problems with colour inversion when displaying the picture on the TV screen (the image went green). The problem was brought to naught along with new firmware, so the chance of its manifestation today is negligible. In view of the foregoing, the set-top box can be safely recommended for purchase as a pair to any TV that needs to “pump” network capabilities to a new quality level.
