The Barrier PROFI OSMO 100 purification system will be a helper for everyone who wants to get water from the tap that is comparable to bottled water. This model can be used in any region, even where tap water is hard and undergoes increased chlorination.

Filtration principle

The five-stage filtration system and reverse osmosis will provide clean water output.

The first stage of filtration is mechanical. At this stage, a filter made of sprayed polypropylene removes all solid particles larger than 5 microns from the water, such as sand, scale from water pipes, and so on.

The second stage is sorption cleaning. Using a filter made of granulated coconut charcoal with a high resource capacity, the water is purified from active chlorine compounds and other organic compounds.

In the third stage, water undergoes mechanical additional purification on a polypropylene filter from fine suspensions and is prepared for the reverse osmosis system.

The main element of purification is filtration through a reverse osmosis membrane. The membrane material is a thin-film composite polyamide with micropores whose diameter does not exceed 0.0001 microns, allowing the removal of all harmful impurities from the water, including bacteria and viruses. The reverse osmosis system used can handle even phenol and cadmium, the latter of which can, by the way, be partially eliminated from the body over 10–35 years.

The final stage occurs under the influence of a charcoal filter treated with silver. At this stage of purification, unpleasant odors and tastes are eliminated, and the water is fully ready for consumption.

Installation and configuration

The presented model of the flow-through filter received a rich configuration, allowing the device to be mounted and used comfortably. With the help of plastic keys, valves, clamps, connecting pipes, and a clear instruction manual, you can install the purification system yourself. However, if you don't want to work with your hands, Barrier offers free device installation by a specialist in almost every region of the country.

For convenience, the kit includes a water faucet with a fitting and washers, along with a set of gaskets. Notably, this faucet can be mounted on a sink from any material without gaps or warps.

The filter also comes with an 8-liter storage tank shaped like a barrel, so the container won't take up much space under the sink. The dimensions of the device, 39x42x19 cm, are not the largest, making the model suitable for small kitchen niches.

An undeniable advantage is that consumables can be purchased not only from the "native" supplier, as long as the cartridge height is 10" (25x7 cm).
