The photo of a particular group model may vary depending on the modification of a particular laptop. For example, the presence of a fingerprint scanner will minimally change the appearance of the device.

The Asus ROG Strix G18 (2025) G815LR series is a premium class gaming laptop for esports enthusiasts who refuse to compromise. The Taiwanese manufacturer launched this novelty in the second half of 2025, featuring the most advanced technologies and components with intelligent optimization. The platform is based on the Core Ultra 9 275HX processor of the Arrow Lake (Series 2) generation with 24 cores.

The amount of RAM is customized from 32 to 128 GB depending on requirements, though maximum multitasking is implemented in any modification. The latest generation discrete graphics card RTX 5070 Ti with Blackwell architecture handles gaming scenarios of any complexity in Full HD / 2K resolution, providing enthusiasts with full control over gameplay parameters. The Advanced Optimus technology is implemented for effective interaction with the integrated video core.

These laptops fully unleash the potential of the equipment for virtual reality, allow game streaming, and ensure performance reserves for several years to come. The internal storage size can be chosen from the following options: 1, 2, 4, and 8 TB. The appearance of the range with body backlight elements and RGB effects for each keyboard key will impress even the most demanding users.

The company installed an autonomous 90 WH battery inside, which increased the device's total weight to an impressive 3.2 kg. The 18-inch screen provides high detail thanks to a resolution of 2560x1600 and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. NVIDIA G-Sync frame synchronization and HDR10, Dolby Vision dark area enhancement technologies are implemented. The IPS matrix has a minimum response time of 3 ms, a brightness of 500 nits, and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Overall, the display meets high-quality standards and received Pantone certification for effective work with design software and rendering programs, as well as TÜV Rheinland certification, indicating eye protection from negative effects during long-term use. The set of interfaces fully meets the requirements of modern gamers. The body features USB4 with Thunderbolt 5.2 support, a 2.5 Gb/s network port, a Dolby Atmos surround sound system, and a camera with a 3D face scanner.

The laptops connect to any generation of wireless networks thanks to a Wi-Fi 7 module. Most modifications are fully ready to use as they come with a licensed version of Windows. This series stands out due to its cutting-edge performance capabilities driven by the 24-core processor and advanced RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. It offers notable features like an 18-inch display with a 240 Hz refresh rate, a wide color gamut, and rapid response time; impactful RGB keyboard effects; and comprehensive connectivity options. Plus, the laptops' accommodation for virtual reality and game streaming make them future-ready and versatile for demanding users.

A productive, extremely expensive purchase, but, alas, not stable
2 April
I bought it from Yabko. There are at least two versions of the laptop – European and American. In the European version, there are additional keys with letters like Ü. In the American version, the shift key is normal, but it has semi-transparent keys (qwerasdf). The engraving on the keys is excellent – the letters are backlit (except for the transparent ones). In the American version, the cord doesn’t fit our outlets, but it’s easy to find the right one – any computer cable will do.

In terms of performance, the laptop is more than good. Unfortunately, there weren’t many 17+ inch laptops with 64 memory to choose from. So it’s like a gaming laptop but more for work (I needed 32+ memory).

I couldn't register the laptop in ROG ELITE REWARDS – they said the country doesn’t match.

Unfortunately, there were some problems. Something is wrong with the graphics card, maybe… either the drivers or who knows what else. It encounters a BSOD several times a month. Quite consistently. Sometimes when connecting the laptop to a monitor, sometimes just on YouTube. Both on the regular charger and via USB. I can’t catch and reproduce it to hand it over for service because it might work for several weeks without a single crash, then have several in a row right after. I'm collecting mini-dumps from the BSODs in a folder for now… I don’t know what to do. ASUS text support didn’t want to help, and trying to hand it over to store service would mean being without a laptop for an indefinite time with a non-zero chance that it’ll sit there for a couple of weeks and be returned with the response "everything works."
