The 2-man tent is an improved version of Alexika Rondo 2. The Plus prefix in the name indicates the presence of a storm skirt (a fabric canopy that additionally protects the bottom from rain and wind) and a weight reduction from 3.9 to 3.7 kg.
High quality and spaciousness
Alexika Rondo 2 Plus is made of high quality materials, including Oxford polyester and RipStop Light. The manufacturer recommends using the tent in the off-season, but according to the experience of tourists, it performs well both in severe cold and hot weather.
User convenience and ventilation efficiency are ensured by two entrances with mosquito nets. Each is complemented by a large vestibule, a metre deep. Difficulties with the placement of backpacks, shoes and other tourist equipment will definitely not arise. The dimensions of the resting place are 210x140 cm, and the total area occupied by the tent is 3.4x2.1 metres, which is more than 7 square metres of area.
Water and wind resistance
The frame of the model consists of 2 main arcs made of aluminium with a diameter of 8.5 mm and a third semi-arc, which forms vestibules. They protect the tent from the wind well, without weighing down its structure. To give additional durability, it is recommended to install complete extensions between the arcs.
The water resistance of the awning is from 4000 mm, and the bottom — from 6000 mm. The manufacturer promises to maintain the claimed values even after several years of using Alexika Rondo 2 Plus, which allows you to safely take the model to the seashore, travel in rainy regions, etc. The corners of the awning are sheathed with a strong sling, which excludes tears and other damage, and the seams are sealed with heat-shrinkable tape.
Thoughtful ventilation and storage systems
It is possible to prevent the air from stagnating inside without opening the entrances. For these purposes, a pair of ventilation windows with wind flaps is provided. The inner tent is equipped with a shelf and pockets for storing items. At the top there is a ring for hanging a lantern.
Alexika Rondo 2 Plus comes in a durable and waterproof carrying case. The tent is quite expensive, as for a trekking 2-seater model, but, as practice shows, the models of this manufacturer usually serve faithfully for 5 or more years, which justifies the investment.
