Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim
![]() | Outdated Product Inexpensive compact CPU cooler based on two heat pipes and a small plate heatsink cooled by a low-profile 92mm fan. It differs from typical tower structures equipped with U-shaped heat pipes by its ultra-low height (34 mm), which allows it to be used in both full-size and ultra-compact cases, including meeting the mini-ITX standard. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, focused on working with Mainstream / Performance class processors from Intel and AMD, released between 2005 and 2019. Capable of handling heat dissipation up to 105W, which is beyond the capabilities of many packaged air-cooling systems. Another important advantage of the Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim processor cooler is its high degree of versatility. It can cool Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3, Pentium/Pentium G, Cel...eron/Celeron G, Core 2 Duo/Quad processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 3/5/7 CPU, APU A-Series, FX, Phenom II, Athlon II, Athlon. Good performance is achieved due to the efficient operation of two copper heat pipes with Heat Core Touch Technology direct contact technology and an 11-blade 92mm fan, the rotation speed of which is regulated within the range of 1000-2300 rpm by the PWM method. TDP 105 W
The Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim is a horizontal cooler with heat pipes, whose main advantage is the combination of compact dimensions and a decent TDP for low-profile cooling systems. In theory, it can dissipate around 105 W of heat from a working processor, making it one of the most efficient cooling systems in its class.
Heat Core Touch Radiator
Unlike most competitors, where the rounded metal base of the fan acts as a heatsink, the Verkho 2 Slim is designed in a more traditional "flat radiator + fan" format. The slim radiator is made up of a stack of aluminum fins penetrated by a pair of 6-mm heat pipes. Closer to the contact base, the pipes are flattened to fully adhere to the base, thus increasing heat dissipation efficiency. Aerocool named this feature Heat Core Touch. Above the radiator is a traditional fan that operates at speeds ranging from 1000 to 2300 RPM.
Best Friend of Quad-core Processors
In tests, the Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim showed mixed results. To begin with, it did not support the claimed thermal design power. After some poking, the researchers in our test lab concluded that its ceiling is limited to 75 – 80 W. That is, its customers are classic modern 4-core processors like the Core i5 with a 65 W thermal package. A six-core "stone" like the Ryzen 5 2600 will be hotter than needed, even with automatic overclocking, let alone manual. Meanwhile, the cooling system from Aerocool turned out to be quite quiet and did not exceed the stated 27 dB in moderate operation. All this leads us to think that it is a very successful option for a compact case where every free millimeter is precious.
