TDP 105W
Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim is a horizontal cooler with heat pipes, the main advantage of which is the combination of small dimensions with a decent TDP by the standards of low-profile cooling systems. Theoretically, it is able to remove about 105 W of heat from a working processor, which makes it one of the most efficient COs in its class.
Radiator Heat Core Touch
Unlike most competitors, where the rounded metal base of the turntable plays the role of a heatsink, Verkho 2 Slim is made in a more traditional "flat heatsink + fan" format. A thin heatsink is assembled from a pack of aluminium plates, which are pierced by a pair of 6mm heat pipes. Closer to the contact pad, the tubes are flattened to fully adhere to the base, thereby increasing the efficiency of heat dissipation. Aerocool called this feature Heat Core Touch. On top of the heat sink is a traditional fan that flies at speeds between 1000 and 2300 rpm.
Best friend of quad-core processors
In tests Aerocool Verkho 2 Slim proved to be ambiguous. For starters, he did not take out the claimed thermal package. After some tinkering, the pundits in our test lab concluded that its ceiling rests on 75 – 80 watts. That is, his clients are classic modern 4-core Core i5 processors with a 65 W TDP. A six-core "stone" like Ryzen 5 2600 will be hotter than necessary, even with automatic overclocking. What can we say about manual. At the same time, the cooling system from Aerocool turned out to be quite quiet and in moderate operation did not exceed the claimed 27 dB. All this leads us to think that this is a very good option for a compact case, in which every free millimetre is valuable.
