Back to the roots

As the TDP of processors increases and very hot video adapters appear, PC case manufacturers have decided to move the PSU lower so that it does not overheat, and put more fans in its place. However, in the last couple of years, case makers have returned to the classic idea of top-mounted PSUs with ventilation on the sides and bottom. One of the representatives of the "old-new" format is GLO from Aerocool.

Modern take on classic design

GLO is a gaming case in the Midi Tower format, which, unlike its colleagues in the gaming segment, has a strict, classic design. Straight lines and black colour, coupled with a minimum number of holes, give the case a solid feel. The main part of the case is made of thick steel 0.7 mm thick, and the left side part is made of tempered glass and offers a view of the inside of the computer and its backlight.

Backlight variability

On the front of the case there are two LED strips with several backlight modes, which you can configure yourself using a separate button. RGB Digital technology provides control over each diode plus allows you to choose one of 13 lighting modes — 7 solid and 6 multi-coloured. I would like to note that the backlight of the Aerocool GLO is very pleasant, it does not blind your eyes and does not prompt you to immediately turn it off.

Ease of cleaning and operation

The main charm of this product lies in its internal simplicity: both side panels are easily removed, providing quick access to the middle, cleaning the filter from dust does not require any extra effort, and the form factor of the case allows you to install an especially large graphics card or a heatsink of the desired size (240 or 360 mm). Well, and most importantly, the chassis is well enough blown by a set of four fans and fears about poor air circulation have not been confirmed. In general, this GLO turned out to be an extremely successful case without any weaknesses.
