Acer's line of laptops represents the proprietary TravelMate series, which contains primarily portable PCs for working outside the office. The models of the family can be classified as budget and mid-range segments, and in general they are able to interest economical and more demanding office workers or students. All laptops received a 15.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, a standard refresh rate (60 Hz) and basic image parameters.

Acer TravelMate P2 TMP215-54 laptops are equipped with Intel processors with the 12th generation Alder Lake hybrid microarchitecture: depending on the specific modification, this can be either a 6-core Core i3 or a Core i7 with 10 cores. The engine's performance is helped by DDR4 generation RAM, the supply of which can range from a modest 8 to an impressive 64 GB. The integrated Iris Xe or UHD Graphics accelerator is responsible for graphics performance, so demanding games or resource-intensive video processing software are unlikely to work correctly here.

Among the other hardware of the models, it is worth highlighting the SSD M.2 solid-state drive up to 2 TB and the battery, which should provide about 9 hours of battery life and power via USB C (Power Delivery function). The black matte 20 mm thick case also contains a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless module, standard acoustics with two speakers, additional security options (from a Smart Card slot to a fingerprint scanner), and popular wired interfaces, including Thunderbolt v4 and gigabit LAN connector. The laptops also have a white backlit keyboard, a microSD card reader, and boast a moderate weight (1.7 kg).
