Intel Core i5 1035G1 is not a hot processor, but due to an imperfect cooling system, my processor personally overheated (up to 90 degrees), not the graphics card. So, I frequently replaced thermal pads and thermal paste on the processor. Occasionally, BIOS settings would get messed up: time and the functionality mode of the Fn key. But I installed a new battery, and these issues stopped. The description and specifications also mention a bay for 2.5 HDD/SSD, but there's absolutely nothing! Also, they soldered 4 GB of RAM onto the board, it would have been better to allocate space for two slots since there is only one, and I had 12 GB (4 + 8 stick). In case of upgrading to 16 GB, which I'm doing this summer of 2026, I'll have to get a 16 GB stick because it's extremely difficult to find a 12 GB stick, if at all, and I'll end up with 20 GB, though it's overpaying. The TN+film screen matrix is a disadvantage for some, an advantage for others. An advantage because the response speed is faster in competitive games like CS 2 than in IPS. Weight; A very, incredibly wonderful touchpad: a large number of gestures (left+right buttons, 2 fingers pressed simultaneously - context menu, 2 fingers swipe up-down = page scrolling, 2 fingers pinch out from a point - zoom in and out, 3 fingers tap - search, 3 fingers swipe up - switch between programs, down - minimize all program tabs, left and right - quick switch between neighboring programs, 4 fingers tap - Notification Center, 4 fingers left and right - Switch between desktops. When there was no mouse, the touchpad saved me; The processor, its hyper-threading function (2 threads per physical core, allows calculations to be completed faster) and turbo boost - runs at 1 GHz while idle, consuming little power, but during the launch of games and heavy programs - increases frequency to 3.6 GHz. Awesome! Graphics card MX330, with 2 GB allowed even for gaming up to the 2015-17 release. Not hot. In GTA 5 there were 40-45 frames on high, 1920x1080. I think you can "tweak" it and get 60 on medium. Plus, you can set it to 1280x720p; The internet adapter supports dual-band, 2.4 and 5 GHz; TN screen matrix. Cooling system; absence of a type-c port on the laptop; lack of a bay for a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD drive; soldered 4 GB of RAM on the board; 1 slot for RAM, TN screen matrix, inability to install a SATA type storage, only able to install an M2 SSD up to 1000 GB (factory installed one was 256 GB, which is very little)  Oleksandr Kuchinskiy: use Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G more than year |
Very good laptop. The flaws can be overlooked. The shortcomings are not serious. I give the laptop the highest mark! Very fast, a speedy graphics card, pleasant keyboard, beautiful design, a lot of RAM, high screen resolution, large screen size, charges quickly, fairly lightweight, good touchpad, multifunctional keys (fn). Gets dirty quickly, poor webcam, bad viewing angle, overheats significantly, incorrect cooling system, drains battery quickly, can't play without charging, quite dim screen, fn function set in reverse, PRICE!!! 1. Lightweight. 2. A decent "starter kit" in terms of configuration. 1. Under load, it heats up significantly (the situation slightly improves when an external cooling pad is connected) 2. The use of M.2 type "hard drives" somewhat complicates further upgrades, as storage of this type is considerably more expensive than regular SSDs. 3. 4 GB of RAM is embedded in the motherboard - this should be considered when expanding RAM capacity, given the 24 GB RAM limitation. 4. BIOS sometimes acts on its own and resets the settings of the functional keys (they are set to multimedia by default) to factory defaults. 5. The GeForce MX330 graphics card is quite decent in terms of performance, but the optimization is somehow strangely configured - it consumes a lot of virtual memory. |
