Xiaomi is trying to conquer the gaming market

The gaming market is quite conservative, you can’t just come out of nowhere and immediately become one of your own. Did Xiaomi succeed, which presented its first gaming headset in 2018? It's hard to say for sure, the headset is definitely good, but not without flaws. And the price by the standards of the company is too big.

Handsome!

Let's start with the fact that 1More Spearhead VR, although they have a typical game design, but these are its best manifestations. They look really cool and have little in common with gaming headsets five or seven years ago. In general terms, the design of the double headband resembles the classic SteelSeries Siberia, only the frame here is metal, and the headphones themselves and the connecting mount are plastic. The 1MORE logo, the rings on the outside of the earphones and the decorative microphone stem are backlit. In addition, each bowl has microphones for noise reduction on the mount. Rag ear cushions with small leatherette inserts. In terms of convenience, the design turned out to be a four, you can play them without problems for several hours, but then your head and ears will need a short break.

1More are fans of great sound

If anyone does not know, then the guys from 1More focus on sound quality. It was they who released those popular inexpensive 1More Triple Driver plugs with triple armature drivers. So Spearhead VR Headphones are positioned as gaming, but at the same time universal headphones. And indeed they sound very interesting, open and balanced. With an unusual accent on the mids for such headphones. But only if connected via USB. Sticking into the sound card by wire, they seemed to turn into a pumpkin and had to manually adjust the equalizer. Hopefully, this was only a test sample gaps.

Detachable cable, noise reduction and flexible sound adjustment

Among other features, we note a detachable cable (plus durability), a noise-canceling microphone (it looks like a Jedi sword with a backlight) and concise software with a bunch of additional settings like the frequency of microphone smearing or speaker placement in virtual 7.1. At the same time, the main drawback of 1MORE Spearhead VR was unexpectedly the price. They do not offer anything mind-blowing, but they stand at the level of long-proven hits from Razer, SteelSeries and HyperX. Yes, formally there is support for virtual reality, but this is essentially a normal 7.1 sound emulation. Yes, and virtual reality is now of little interest to anyone. The design is great, but that's not the point. The microphone has good noise reduction, but the microphone itself lacks stars from the sky.
