The Xiaomi directional Wi-Fi camera for outdoor video surveillance received a plastic waterproof (IP65) case and is characterized by compact dimensions (47x73x140 mm). The latter feature provides the model with stealth and allows it to be used indoors as well. Thanks to a built-in 5100 mAh battery and an external image receiver (powered by the network), the Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Camera Battery is able to work autonomously for a long time. It is stated that the battery may need to be recharged after 100 days of use if smart detection mode is activated. In it, the model turns on only when motion is detected, after which it records in 1080p format, for which a 2 MP matrix and a lens with a fixed focal length, f / 2.6 aperture and a 120-degree view are responsible. After that, the recording is up...loaded to the "cloud" or to a memory card (microSD format up to 64 GB is supported), and the device switches back to standby mode. Among other features, it is worth highlighting the night mode and the possibility of live broadcasting to a smartphone (P2P function).

Model overview based on user reviews
The Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Camera Battery is an outdoor camera with a wide horizontal viewing angle of 120° and IP65 protection level, making it suitable for various weather conditions. It features a motion detection system, microphone, and feedback speaker, all accessible via a mobile app. However, users have reported significant drawbacks, including a lack of true autonomous battery operation and insufficient technical support. The camera's battery life is limited when frequently triggered by motion, and it lacks support for cloud services and advanced video analytics functions. Additionally, the camera requires a power outlet for continuous operation, as it does not support ONVIF or function independently from its receiver. While it performs well initially, some users experienced breakdowns and found the product beyond repair, leading to dissatisfaction with its long-term reliability.

Cons

normal model, nothing special

No support, can't be fixed.
An outdoor camera that is easy to set up, has high autonomy in a warm room, can work for several months, but when we hung it on the street, it quite often triggered to record motion and quickly sat down, then it broke down completely, now you can throw it away, it is beyond repair.
After six months it broke, now you can throw it away.

Not autonomous due to the gateway, it is without batteries.

Actually, it doesn't work without a power outlet. Autonomy means that when disconnected from the 220V network, the IP camera continues to stream over the internet and record video to the cloud, not just locally. But this IP camera works in tandem with a receiver that is powered by a power outlet. No ONVIF support.
Wide horizontal viewing angle 120 °
Protection level IP65
Microphone (its presence, but not quality)
Feedback speaker (its presence, but not quality)
P2P (smartphone connection)
Frame rate 30 fps
1. There is no real autonomous battery operation mode - when disconnected from the 220V network (without autonomous operation for at least 8-24 hours, it's just useless junk).
2. No support for cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Yandex Disk.
3. In the mobile app, there is no option to set automatic recording by motion detector simultaneously to the smartphone's memory card (it only automatically records on the IP camera).
4. The settings for IP surveillance cameras are insufficient. The notification interval should be much less than 3 minutes - the video camera should notify immediately with every movement in the frame (or at least every 5 seconds), such an option should be in the settings.
5. A lot more video analytics functions are needed, which have long been present in surveillance systems, and many of them are often distributed for free; some are even built into IP cameras, reducing server load:
- Crossing virtual lines
- Detection of intrusion into a designated area
- Detector of missing or left items
- Recognition of faces, vehicle numbers, weapons, and other objects
- People counting
- Smoke and fire detection
- Intelligent search in video archives by signs and features
- Fog penetration
- Image masking
- Inter-camera tracking
- Vehicle identification
- Crowd detector
- Tamper sensor (detector of turned cameras, defocus, image, and connection loss)
i liked it, but it’s a pity that I wasted money

You do the first gateway update and you can throw away the camera. Bad experience.
Great camera while it works
Complete lack of technical support
