How to Choose a Charger for GadgetsGuide to Choosing Chargers for Various Gadgets: From Smartphones to Laptops

Good charger. It came with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x phone, the phone is long gone, but we still use the charger as it perfectly suits charging a wide range of devices, like headphones, phones, flashlights, lighters. Since its power is not very high, charging devices is not very fast compared to more powerful chargers that have Fast Charge on board. But maybe that's a good thing, as the batteries in devices won't degrade and fail as quickly as with fast chargers (although maybe modern batteries are more resilient in this regard). It barely heats up when in use, which is quite nice. The device is very compact, so it won't take up much space on travels. Compact Does not heat up Charges quite well, as for a device without Fast Charge, charges 5000mAh in an hour to an hour and twenty minutes I would still like Fast Charge, sometimes it just saves the day. |

However, there are downsides too: if you want fast charging for a large battery or a modern smartphone that supports QC or PD, 2 A is pretty weak, and the charge will be slow. There used to be a belief that fast charging kills batteries. Well, maybe it was true in the past, but technology doesn't stand still, and modern batteries can handle it without significant degradation compared to "slow" charging.
In conclusion, it's an ordinary, basic "workhorse" with no fancy features. Nothing "top-notch," but for simple tasks, it'll do the job. The main advantage of this charger is its price. So if you need a simple, compact charger and don't need fast charging, it's a pretty good choice. Meanwhile, I'll go check out GaN adapters.
