Xiaomi does not produce any kind of electronics and we were not at all surprised that the company has several game controllers designed for fans of mobile games. Perhaps the most interesting of its models came to our test — the stylish and rather expensive Feat Black Knight, which completely copies the schematics of the Xbox controller with diagonal sticks and perpendicular triggers. For gamers accustomed to classics like the DualShock, this is rather a minus, since it takes time to retrain the thumb of the left hand to the fact that the D-pad and the left stick have swapped places.

High build quality and materials, excellent ergonomics

In the centre of the gamepad there is a large folding slot, in which a smartphone with a maximum diagonal of 6.8" sits firmly and firmly. This is a fairly popular scheme for mobile gamepads. But what is unusual is the block hidden under it with additional buttons for controlling basic Android functions. In terms of quality, Xiaomi (or rather, its Flydigi Lab division) hit almost the bull's-eye. The sticks work clearly and smoothly, with excellent orientation in space and without dead zones, the triggers are moderately elastic, and thanks to the perforated sidewalls, the gamepad lies more comfortably in the hands and does not slip if the palms are sweaty during the game.

Built-in vibration motors and gyroscope

Included is a USB adapter for connecting to a PC, so it turns out to be quite an interesting option for the role of a wireless gamepad for PC boyars. In this case, the smartphone holder can be removed so as not to interfere. Given that it costs almost the same as the Dualshock 4, we did not expect less. The high price tag is justified not only by convenience, but also by a bunch of additional features: it has excellent vibration motors, built-in Bluetooth 4.2 keeps a stable connection with the connected device, a built-in battery, and the firmware allows several different options for connecting to a smartphone, computer or TV. And thanks to a high-quality gyroscope, Black Knight can be used instead of an air mouse for a TV or TV box.
