Unlike simple boilers, in this design hot flue gases are subjected to deeper cooling, which makes it possible to extract from them the latent heat of condensation of water vapor. This engineering solution allows the Vaillant ecoTEC plus VU OE 466/4-5 condensing boiler to save up to 6-7% natural gas (compared to conventional single-circuit boilers of the same capacity).
