Low-cost field berry with reasonable characteristics for the money. The smartphone is entirely focused on solving basic tasks without claiming serious performance. The 4-core entry-level chip MediaTek MT6739, which is provided with 2 GB of RAM, is directly responsible for the performance of the model in everyday use. The internal memory on board the TP-LINK Neffos C9A is 16 GB, since the manufacturer equipped its brainchild with a microSD slot and 2 SIM with three "seats" as a moral compensation. The front panel of the smartphone is at the mercy of a 5.45-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Accordingly, the picture is displayed on it in HD resolution with an additional prefix "+": 1440x720 pixels. There is only one main camera module in the smartphone. It is represented by a 13 MP s...ensor with a maximum aperture of f / 2.2 optics. Also from the rear you can find a fingerprint scanner, put on guard to protect user data from unauthorized access. In return, the owner of the device has the right to use the face unlock capabilities of the device, for which an 8 MP selfie camera is involved. On average, on a single charge of a 3020 mAh battery, the smartphone screen “lives” 4-5 hours of active time.

Why do smartphones start to slow down and what amount of RAM is now considered optimal?Let's explore the reasons for the slowdown and the optimal amount of RAM for smartphones

Slim body and modern appearance

The Neffos brand, created under the wing of TP-Link, can hardly be called a newcomer to the smartphone market. The company has chosen a clear positioning on the market of affordable smartphones and with each new model they are trying to hone their skills in creating high-quality state employees.

For its price, the design of the Neffos C9A pleasantly surprises: the smartphone has thin bezels and looks quite modern. A slight dissonance is caused only by a rather large logo in the lower part of the case. Over the past couple of years, we have managed to wean ourselves from facial logos. The case of the smartphone is made neatly, there is nothing to complain about: high-quality plastic, decent assembly, nothing backlash and does not bend.

Borderless IPS screen

The smartphone is equipped with a 5.45-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels and a modern aspect ratio of 18:9. A screen with an acceptable margin of brightness, rich and contrasty. At the same time, there is no oleophobic coating on the glass at all, so it gets dirty very quickly, and stains are hardly wiped off. However, the presence of a protective film in the package should correct this.

Necessary hardware

The Neffos C9A is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Its performance is quite modest, light friezes may appear when launching several applications, and the built-in video chip does not always cope with modern games. However, it would be too much to demand from a smartphone with such a price tag.

Fingerprint scanner

In the sliding tray, you can find slots for SIM-cards and one slot for a microSD memory card. You won’t have to sacrifice something, as in smartphones with hybrid slots, so this is a definite plus. Otherwise, the smartphone has a standard equipment for the class (3020 mAh battery, micro USB port, no NFC), which is diluted by a fingerprint scanner. While more established entry-level manufacturers can afford to ditch the scanner, brands like Neffos need to lure customers with something special.

Removable battery

Speaking of battery. In the Neffos C9A, it is removable, which on paper gives several advantages. Firstly, it is the ability to replace the battery itself in case of failure. Secondly, it simplifies the possible repair process (the path to the inside of the smartphone is shorter) and, accordingly, the cost of this repair. Another question is how applicable all this is to a low-cost smartphone, which is clearly not bought for a year.
