An integral attribute of any more or less serious gaming tool is RGB backlighting, which is increasingly found on board gaming monitors, keyboards, laptops and system units. The ThunderX3 UC5 armchair is one of the few who also has a module of iridescent backlighting in different tones.
backlight module
A luminous triangular prism, stylized as the manufacturer's logo, is mounted on magnets in a niche on the back of the chair back. The user has the right to "ignite" it with one of seven static colours or in two dynamic modes of automatic radiance: with and without pulsation. The power supply of the backlight module is taken care of by a quartet of AA batteries. The luminous logo successfully harmonizes with the appearance of the chair, which is completely dominated by black tones.
Build
According to the “passport”, the model is recommended for players with a height of 180 to 200 cm, weighing less than 150 kg. The length of the backrest and the height adjustment margin is exactly enough for users of medium and large build. The backrest, as usual, reclines horizontally, so that in between hot battles it is possible to rest lying down, and the 3D armrests are adjustable in height, extension and angle of rotation.
Smooth landing
The seat at the chair turned out to be soft without the slightest tendency to push through. An additional link on guard of a comfortable fit is a flattened lumbar pillow. But the pillow under the head of the model is not so comfortable, as noted in the reviews. Also, many owners of the chair are not happy with the lack of perforation at the point of contact with the back, which is why it sweats on hot days, and rattling nylon wheels without rubber “shoes”. These omissions will not become decisive arguments “against”, but the positive picture of the model is slightly smoothed out, even if only a little.
