A high-performance 2018 wireless router capable of serving customers in two frequency bands at once and supporting high-speed cable connections. It features full support for MU-MIMO technology, which provides simultaneous service for several client devices, and Beamforming + technology, which automatically generates directional data transmission to improve coverage in problem areas.
It belongs to the middle price category, taking into account the practically implemented actual technologies, the cost of this product can be called very attractive. As the basis for the hardware configuration of the Tenda AC10U router, the Realtek RTL8197FS processor with MIPS 24Kc architecture and a clock frequency of 1 GHz is used, and the amount of RAM is 128 MB. Four external omnidirectional antennas with a gain of 5 dBi provide high-speed wireless data transmission.
In the 2.4 GHz band (802.11b/g/n), it reaches 300 Mbps, and when using a carrier frequency of 5 GHz (802.11a/n/ac), a throughput of 867 Mbps is achieved. Such values are quite enough for watching high-quality streaming 4K video, online gaming, operational cloud services and other tasks that require significant amounts of traffic. In addition, the router supports incoming Gigabit Ethernet connections (up to 1 Gbps) and can provide a small, high-speed cable LAN. Tenda AC10U is one of the most affordable "gigabit" (in every sense of the word) wireless routers in east european retail. Gigabit it has not only 802.11ac Wi-Fi, but also Ethernet ports: input WAN and a trio of output LANs. A gigabit router relies on a gigahertz processor: Realtek RTL8197FS with MIPS architecture.
Walls are not a hindrance
Four external long antennas with +5 dB gain provide a theoretical Wi-Fi connection speed of up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbps at 5 GHz. MU-MIMO technology improves throughput, while Beamforming+ improves signal range. Our personal testing confirmed the ability to distribute a typical 100-megabit Internet without loss of speed through two brick load-bearing walls (in the case of reinforced concrete, the signal will naturally be weaker).
File exchange
Additionally, the AC10U has a USB 2.0 port with speeds up to 30 MB / s for connecting external drives with the ability to access them both within the local network and from anywhere in the world using the proprietary Tenda mobile application. If you need a high-speed USB 3.0 port for faster file sharing (for example, external HDDs reach speeds up to 120 MB / s), then there is an improved Tenda AC15 model. But external 3G/LTE modems, unfortunately, are not supported.
