"Smart" saw
The Stiga SP 426 16 chain saw is equipped with a fairly powerful (1.9 kW or 2.58 hp) 42.4 cm³ petrol engine. The engine crankcase is cast from magnesium alloy, which allowed to achieve structural rigidity and moderate weight of the device (saw without bar and chain weighs 4.9 kg). It consists of two detachable halves — this ensures the maintainability of the internal combustion engine. The engine is equipped with "smart" electronic ignition, which changes the current strength depending on the engine operating mode, air temperature and other factors. Therefore, the saw economically consumes the 95th gasoline and perfectly keeps the speed under load.
Thoughtful design
Stiga saws are equipped with high-quality American chains and Oregon bars. The length of the tyre for this model is 40 cm. The speed of the chain reaches a fairly high value (23 m / s), so the chainsaw deftly cuts wood of different moisture content and density.
