Representatives of the German brand Steba assure that this electric grill is produced exclusively in Germany. This is due to both the appropriate quality of materials and the level of reliability, as well as the high cost of the model.

Convenient for storage and transportation

The grill received a large work surface (23x37 cm), on which you can cook from 4 or more servings of meat or other products. Therefore, the model is not too compact. But it is very thin (only 12 cm), equipped with a handle with a lock to close the plates, as well as legs on the sides, which allows you to carry it like a case. Also, in a vertical position, the device takes up less space when stored.

Double sided plates

Steba PG-4.4 can be used as a contact grill or barbecue (with 180° plate opening). The distance between the working surfaces in the pressure mode easily adjusts to the desired products, from thin potatoes to bulky hamburgers.

Double-sided plates provide additional versatility to the grill. On the one hand, there are classic corrugated surfaces for frying meat, fish, poultry, etc., and on the other, a special relief for making waffles. Therefore, the device is considered not only a grill, but also a waffle iron.

It should be noted that the delivery package of the related Steba PG-4.3 model also includes a third double-sided plate with a smooth and corrugated surface. Using its flat side, it is convenient to cook scrambled eggs and sausages in barbecue mode.

Management and cleaning

Steba PG-4.4 has 5 temperature modes (from 150 to 250 degrees), which are set using the lever on the handle. Nearby is an indicator light to let you know when preheating of the plates is complete. The recommended cooking time for popular products is indicated on the case and in the instructions, however, it often differs from the real one, which is a drawback.

The minus of the grill is the lack of a pan for fat. Under the corresponding grooves, you will have to substitute dishes or other containers. It is not easy to clean the device after use, and the manufacturer does not recommend washing the removable plates in the dishwasher. But in general, the maintenance process is similar to cleaning and washing other electric grills.
