Exhaust fans of the EBB-N line from the Spanish company Soler&Palau are designed for installation in ventilation systems with long air ducts. The model range of the series consists of three devices with differences in size and performance.
Centrifugal fan
The youngest centrifugal fan in the line is equipped with a rotating rotor with helical blades that sucks in air and directs it to the right direction(i.e. straight into the ventilation duct) under the influence of centrifugal force. When the fan is off, the non-return valve closes, which prevents odours from the ventilation shaft from entering the room.
Performant motor
The engine of the device operates in a two-speed mode, providing an air exchange capacity of up to 130 m3/hour. Compared to axial-type models, the engine is more “gluttonous” in terms of power consumption (35 W), and besides, it cannot be called low-noise (46 dB). It is also worth considering the dimensions of the hood casing, increased by about 1.5 times (again, in comparison with axial fans), which is due to its design features.
Family of modifications
Protection of the model according to the IP44 standard guarantees its uninterrupted operation in rooms with a high level of humidity. By the way, there is a separate modification of the exhaust fan with a humidity sensor, which automatically starts up when the moisture level rises above a certain limit. Another variation of the model is equipped with a timer — it does not turn off immediately when the switch is pressed, but after a predetermined time period.
