In the style of the 50s

The Italian manufacturer of household appliances Smeg plunges us into the atmosphere of the 50s, which is famous for its beauty, grace and elegance. The body of the toaster is quite "pot-bellied", but there is nothing superfluous on it: in front and behind there are only letters that form the inscription Smeg, and all the switches and control buttons are located on the side. Despite such minimalism, the device looks great, but at the same time it is not cheap. But the company pleased with a large selection of colours for every taste: beige, white, turquoise, red, pink, light green, black, chrome colours and with patterns are available. And all of them are interesting in their own way, so that the eyes will definitely scatter from such a variety.

The case is made of stainless steel, the device itself is quite large and weighty, but it stands firmly on rubberized legs. And so that no debris remains on the table after cooking, a removable crumb tray is provided.

Functions and degrees of roasting

Although the toaster has two slots for bread, they are quite long, so they can easily accommodate 4 pcs at once. However the slices should not be too long — it is better to choose not a loaf, but a special toast bread. The holes are also wide enough (36 mm) for coarsely chopped slices. But, unlike models with four different slots, there are no offline settings for each, so all four toasts will be roasted the same way. Also available in the 50s style Smeg range is the Smeg TSF03 toaster with four separate compartments and the standard Smeg TSF01 with two compartments for two toasts.

The device has a high power — 1500 W, heats up quickly and handles with its task in a matter of minutes. The pieces are automatically centered on the inside, resulting in even browning on all sides. There are 6 degrees of roasting to choose from, as well as additional functions for heating ready-made toasts and defrosting. In addition, there is a button "Bagel" (or "Bagel"), which got its name from the famous Jewish bagels. Simply put, this is a one-sided toasting function that is just right for bagels or burger buns. When turned on, the control buttons are illuminated.
