The built-in microwave oven from the Siemens iQ500 series has a capacity of 25 liters, making it suitable for heating and preparing standard family-sized portions of food. The inner chamber is made from stainless steel — this material is resistant to corrosion and makes cleaning grease off the walls easier. Inside, there is a glass turntable with a diameter of 315 mm which ensures the dish rotates for even heating from all sides.

The model's functionality includes not only microwaves with power up to 900 W (with five adjustment levels) but also a powerful quartz grill at 1200 W. As a result, the Siemens BE 555LMB2 allows baking foods to a golden crust and using a combined mode (microwaves + grill) to speed up the cooking process of meat and vegetables. To simplify operation, the cookControl8 system is included: eight automatic programs independently select power and time — the user only needs to choose the type of dish and enter its weight. The appliance is controlled entirely by touch (touchControl) and complemented by an LED display. One of the practical features is humidiClean: a hydrolysis cleaning program, where steam softens dirt in the chamber, making it easier to remove with a regular cloth. The oven also has a memory function to save settings for one frequently used recipe.
