Video reviews

The European brand Sava is owned by the eminent tyre giant Goodyear, under the strict guidance of which rubber is produced at production facilities in Slovenia. The exception to the rule is the brand's flagship winter tyre — the production of the Eskimo HP2 model has been established at a factory in Germany.

Predictable behavior

Compared to the first-born in the line (Sava Eskimo HP 215/55 R16 93H), the tyre has got an improved tread pattern with W-shaped blocks in the centre and an updated rubber compound. The central part of the tread contributes to a tenacious grip of the wheels with the road, regardless of weather conditions — the predictable behavior of the model is ensured both on snow or wet roads and on dry roads. Confidence in the latter case is added by reinforced blocks of the tread shoulder zones.

drainage system

The long and wide contact patch of the tyre contributes to a more even load distribution, improved directional stability of the car and uniform tread wear during operation. Water and melted snow from the contact patch are effectively discharged through two longitudinal grooves and a developed system of transverse drainage channels, which practically eliminates hydroplaning.

Efficient braking

When driving, the tyres “rustle” measuredly on the asphalt, without causing discomfort to the driver and passengers with excessive noise. However, you can’t call a quiet tyre either. But what else pleases in it is the responsiveness in braking, regardless of the type of road surface and its condition (wet, dry, snowy, etc.). The model demonstrates insecure behavior only on ice, but you should not scold her for this, since all representatives of the class of non-studded winter tyres have a similar tendency.
