Does a full frame make a difference? Is it worth buying a full-frame camera?Do I need to spend money on an expensive full frame or is it better to buy a cropped camera?..
Good to know:

This camera in the American and European markets has different names:
  • In Europe — Samsung EX1
  • In America — Samsung TL500
From the press release

The Samsung EX1 draws attention primarily due to its powerful f/1.8 Schneider lens, which gives a wide aperture range and shallow depth of field, which allows you to focus directly on the subject, while leaving the background blurry. Samsung EX1 is equipped with 1/1.7 CCD-matrix, which has a high level of light sensitivity (ISO 3200/full-resolution). Thanks to this, as well as a modified DRIMeIII high-speed photo processor, the EX1 digital camera takes high-quality pictures regardless of lighting conditions. The Schneider lens features a 24mm ultra-wide focal length and a 3x optical zoom. In addition, the EX1 features wider shooting angles than traditional compact cameras. It also features Samsung's Advanced Dual Image Stabilization(IS), which helps achieve crystal-clear, crisp images.

With the EX1's 3.0-inch AMOLED swivel display, photographers can frame the shot they want and shoot from any angle. Compared to traditional TFT LCDs, the AMOLED display delivers a higher contrast ratio, deeper blacks and more accurate, vibrant colours, even when viewed in direct sunlight. This screen is energy efficient, allowing the user to take more pictures with a single battery charge.

The Samsung EX1 digital camera is RAW-ready and gives advanced users full control over shooting with the option to shoot in shutter priority, aperture priority or full manual mode. When using these modes, you can experiment with features such as slow shutter speeds and depth-of-field adjustments. And for those who prefer to work in automatic modes, Samsung EX1 offers advanced technology for recognition of shooting conditions Smart Auto 2.0. This technology is used for both photo shooting and video shooting (640x480/30fps/H.264), it analyzes the key elements of the composition, such as colour, brightness, movement, subject, and then selects the appropriate shooting mode to ensure the best result.

The Samsung EX1 digital camera will go on the market in the Russian market in April this year.
