Middle class engraving machine from Japan
The Ryobi EHT150V engraving machine is a very compact and not at all heavy (0.6 kg) corded drill designed for use in everyday life or a home workshop. It is considered one of the best models in terms of price and quality. The tool has six fixed speeds, allowing you to change the speed in the range of 10,000 – 35,000 rpm. The device fits perfectly in the hand, and it can be taken like a pencil, thanks to the small diameter of the body. The engraver works quite quietly (you can engrave in a room of an apartment building without causing the wrath of neighbors) and practically without vibrations.
The only problem is the cooling system. Air is blown out through narrow ventilation openings. Therefore, the device is prone to overheating, and it will not work for a long time without stopping. On the other hand, due to the fact that the blowing is carried out through narrow "gills" located in the front of the case, dust from the processed parts (especially wood, plaster and plastic) never gets inside the case.
Unpacked and working
Inside the case, made of durable plastic, in addition to the engraver itself, there is a good set of additional devices and accessories: a tripod with a clamping clamp, a flexible shaft 915 mm long and collets with a diameter of 1.6 and 3.2 mm. In the drawers of the case there is a set of nozzles of 115 items: cutting and polishing discs of different thicknesses, emery cylinders and drills. All together it makes up quite a decent "gentleman's set" of equipment, which allows you to immediately get to work without additional trips to the store.
The optimal engraver for the sophisticated user
The only thing that can alert a potential buyer of a Ryobi tool is the relative obscurity of the products of this brand in our area. But there is no doubt about this. The Japanese company Ryobi is owned by the same holding company Techtronic Industries, which produces Milwaukee and AEG tools, whose quality speaks for itself. Therefore, drills, grinders, electric jigsaws, milling machines and other types of Ryobi equipment, although they belong to the middle price segment, are of good quality. At least if you buy this engraver for someone as a gift, you won't have to blush later.
