Russell Hobbs 18870-56 received an ascetic case made of durable plastic. Manufacturers classified the model as a “family grill”, since on a working plate with an area of 510 square cm you can cook breakfast for a small family at the same time, and the model’s modest dimensions of 10.5x31x31 cm allow it to be harmoniously placed even in a small kitchen.

So that the design does not take up extra space when not in use, there is a special compartment for the power cable and the possibility of storing the electric grill in a vertical position. A special handle will protect you from burns during the removal of the finished dish, and the rubberized base of the legs provides a reliable fixation of the structure.

Adjusting the rear legs allows you to set the height depending on the planned dish: flat — for sandwiches and at an angle — for meat, poultry and fish. The top cover of the device has a hinged mount, thanks to which products of any thickness will be evenly fried.

Management is very simple and convenient, but, unfortunately, there is no possibility to adjust the temperature. After connecting to the network, the green light on the indicator lights up, to the glow of which, after 2 – 3 minutes, red light is added. This indicates that the grill is warmed up and ready to go. The device's power of 1600 W and a thermostat with the ability to heat up to 200 °C make it possible to cook even pork steaks in just a few minutes.

The high-quality non-stick coating of the corrugated plate allows you to cook without the use of oil and marinades, and the fat formed during the frying process will drain into the attachment tray, which is easy to clean and suitable for cleaning in dishwashers. It is worth noting that the width of the tray is several centimeters greater than the width of the grill, which will prevent grease from getting on the kitchen work surface.

The non-removable frying plates are a little disappointing, but for this price segment this is an acceptable drawback.
