Universal compact model
The compact Rotex iron is an affordable option and will be a reliable travel companion. That said, you can also use it at home for simple tasks — occasional ironing of small amounts of clothing without deep creases. Its travel-oriented design features include a foldable handle that reduces the size for easy placement in carry-on luggage, as well as a voltage selector for connecting to power grids in different countries.
Irons and steams
The iron’s power is 1100 W — a standard figure for compact models. You can choose classic dry ironing or a steam mode. The continuous steam output is low — 10 g/min, but there is also a steam boost of 15 g/min to help smooth out light creases. Vertical steaming is supported as well, which is convenient for quick touch-ups right on the hanger. There is a 70 ml water tank, and a measuring cup is included for easy filling.
The soleplate has a ceramic coating that glides well over fabric, resists scratches, and is easy to clean. Steam holes are evenly distributed across the entire soleplate for effective steaming. A rotary dial provides three settings suitable for different fabric types.
