The unpretentious "heat fighter" from the east european Rotex outwardly differs little from its colleagues in the low-cost workshop. Nevertheless, in the arsenal of the model's functions, something interesting is in store, due to which the fan's attractiveness in the eyes of potential buyers is significantly increased.

Three speeds

The Rotex RAF49-E is based on an axial mechanism with a large four-blade propeller, for which there are 3 rotation speeds. At low speeds, the fan creates a slight breeze in the room, and at high speeds, its blades, which are “under the cover” of a metal mesh, easily blow paper products out of their way. At the same time, the device “searches for the victim” by independent turns of the “head”, ensuring a uniform distribution of air flows around the entire perimeter of a small room (15-20 m²).

Mechanical timer

The company buttons for switching the speed of rotation of the blades on the control panel is the rotary knob of the mechanical timer. It provides the ability to set the fan off time up to 1 hour(in 10-minute steps between values). One of the minuses of the model is inextricably linked with the timer — many of its owners blame the too tight handle stroke. Also, the shaking of the fan when working at high speeds is sometimes included in the category of shortcomings.

Leadership ambitions

The leg on which the Rotex RAF49-E rests allows you to flexibly adjust the height of the fan (up to 125 cm). There are non-slip pads on its tips to give the model stability when placed on the floor. Based on the price/functionality ratio, the fan can be easily identified as one of the leaders in the low-cost segment, which offer good performance for an adequate price.
