When Appearance Matters

Historically, DJs have been suspicious of equipment from Reloop, Numark and other second-tier specialized brands. After all, DJ headphones and turntables are working tools, and tools must be reliable. However, we couldn't get past the Reloop RHP-20. This is not an ordinary model, which stands out for its affordable price tag and defiant design. It is said that DJ Tiesto himself wanted to be photographed wearing them for the cover of DJ Mag.

Lightweight and strong mix of aluminium and plastic

In terms of design, it turned out to be a moderately light and strong mix of aluminium and plastic. Reloop tried to reduce the number of unreliable plastic parts and strengthen problem areas, such as ear cushion mounts. We do not know how the RHP-20 will behave in a long tour, but they passed the laboratory strength tests with dignity. And thanks to the wide rim and ear cushions with “memory”, they also turned out to be damn comfortable. Definitely one of the most comfortable DJ models under $200. However, the design turned out to be by no means perfect. First, the headphones are quite bulky. Both on the head and in the folded state. Secondly, the cups are not rotatable, the headphone angle is adjusted by special brackets that connect the headphones to the headband and can be rotated 60 degrees. For those who are used to the conditional Technics RP-DJ1210, which were spinning in all directions, this is not the most convenient option.

Excellent sound insulation

Now about the sound. Compared to other popular models like the Sennheiser HD 25 Plus and Technics RP-DJ1210, they sound good, but do not cause a wow effect: the bottom is tight and accentuated, the middle is well detailed, and the tops are a little littered and sound muffled. Soundproofing is excellent. In general, in terms of working in the club, there are no questions for them, but for listening to music, we met more noble models.
