Universal replacement for an electric kettle

A solid massive stainless steel case with black plastic elements holds 5 liters of water, which can not only be heated to a temperature of 60, 90, 98º C using a thermostat, but also cooled. The built-in fan is responsible for cooling, so the process goes faster than naturally. Baby food, tea, coffee and other hot drinks can be prepared in minutes.

Rapid boiling and cooling

The device is powerful enough (1450 W) to quickly boil water, and then cool it to the desired temperature and maintain it for as long as it takes. The fact that the water has boiled will be signaled three times by a sound signal, after which the device will dechlorinate for 3-4 minutes (long-term boiling, during which chlorine is removed from the water) and only then it will switch to the temperature maintenance mode.

Multimode water supply

The water supply is also multi-mode and is regulated by the "Remove block" button. When the device is turned on, the feed is automatically blocked. One press of the button turns on the mode in which the water pressure gradually increases, the second — slow flow, the third — again blocks the spill.

Topping mechanism

No less interesting is the topping mechanism. If you add less than one liter of water to the flask, the thermopot will not boil it, but will heat it up to the set mode.

Light sensor to save electricity

In an interesting way, the manufacturer also took care of saving electricity by equipping the device with an energy-saving mode. For this, the thermopot received a light sensor. When the room is dark, it turns off the keep warm mode, and when the light comes on, it activates it again.

Advanced protective features

Note the presence of a cleaning filter and self-cleaning mode, as well as two-stage overheating protection.

With all the advantages, there were still two drawbacks in the Redmond RTP-M802 — high cost and a high percentage of breakdowns. As practice shows, the model is a frequent guest of service centers. It is up to you to decide whether it is worth giving 6-8K rubles for such a risk.
