Redmond RCG-CBM1604 is one of the most powerful rotary blade coffee grinders. Its power is 280 W with a maximum bowl capacity of 50 grams. Like the M1606, the model received a chrome-plated metal case with plastic inserts. This, together with the relatively compact size and bronze coloring, provides the coffee grinder with a stylish design.

Redmond RCG-CBM1604 is equipped with a stainless steel knife and bowl, which allows you to count on a durable and reliable operation of the product. In addition, this guarantees additional environmental friendliness of grinding, because steel does not affect the taste or smell of food.

Only the lid is made of plastic, equipped with a transparent window. It will help to visually control the degree of grinding. By the way, the cover is fixed by turning a few degrees, which adds convenience in operation. At the bottom of the case there is a compartment for winding the cord and rubber feet for stability.

Fast, powerful yet quiet

The 280-watt motor Redmond RCG-CBM1604 provides a fairly fast operation of the device. At the same time, the noise level is not higher than that of models for 150 – 180 watts. To get ground coffee, 30 seconds or two cycles of half a minute are often enough. However there is a minus — the uniformity of grinding leaves much to be desired. Moreover, due to the increase in operating time, the situation is not particularly improving.

The main disadvantage of the Redmond RCG-CBM1604 is questionable security. Yes, the power button is placed on the lid, but even without it, the coffee grinder can be turned on — just press / touch a small pin located at the place where the lid is installed on the model body (it’s generally elementary to do with a child’s hand).

In general, Redmond RCG-CBM1604 looks interesting among metal models, but if there are curious and restless children in the family and/or special requirements for grinding quality, it is worth considering alternative options.
