Easy Overclocking
Prologix DDR4 Black is an affordable RAM with simple one-click XMP overclocking, priced lower than many modules without an overclocking profile. It is sold both individually and in kits of two sticks — the latter is usually more cost-effective, although you can initially manage with single-channel mode at a throughput of 25 GB/s. Format — Long-DIMM, effective frequency — 3200 MT/s, timings — CL16, operating voltage — 1.35 V.
Almost Flush
The heatsink protrudes only about a centimeter above the PCB, so it should not interfere with the overhanging CPU cooler. Underneath are not only the DDR4 DRAM chips but also several additional microchips. The first, SPD, stores the factory-tested XMP overclocking profile, and the second, PMIC, evenly distributes power between the module's two ranks.
Even Better Without ECC
There is no ECC error correction support here: in the case of DDR4, it is usually used in server systems, whereas it has become a mandatory part of the mass standard for DDR5. For a home PC, this is rather a plus, as ECC slightly reduces performance and can increase memory heat. Additionally, Prologix offers JEDEC non-heatsink memory at 3200 MHz with higher CL22 timings but lower voltage of 1.2 V, including laptop SO-DIMM modules.
