Design
The PC-TA 1193 toaster is part of the vintage Profi Cook line and is available in two colors: classic gray and bright red, which will definitely stand out in the kitchen. At first glance, the device immediately brings to mind cafes and snack bars in old American films, because it is made in the style of those times: a "pot-bellied" body, a round convex control lever, a window displaying the degrees of roasting in the form of a speedometer.
By the way, the case here is metal with chrome inserts, so it is durable and long-lasting. But during operation (especially long ones) the metal heats up a lot, as a result of which you can get burned.
Power
In addition to the design, the model has some pretty good characteristics. The maximum power is 815 W, which is quite enough for fast and high-quality toasting of bread: the toasts are crispy, with an even golden crust. The device has two fairly wide compartments (40 mm), which can accommodate even thick slices, and 6 degrees of toasting for different tastes and types of bread. There is an auto-centering feature so that the pieces are heated evenly, a “Stop” button for early termination of operation, as well as a heating and defrosting function if you store bakery products in the refrigerator. The control buttons are illuminated when turned on.
The set also includes a warming rack, which is suitable for several toasts, buns or croissants at once. It is removable, so if you don’t need it, you will have to store it separately. For added convenience, the toaster is equipped with an easy-to-clean crumb tray, cord wrapping mounts under the base and rubberized feet for stability.
