Humidifier TM Polaris uses ultrasonic technology, according to which water is broken into tiny drops by a vibrating membrane. The device consumes up to 350 mL of liquid per hour, which, with a 5-liter reservoir, provides continuous operation for 14 hours. The rotary evaporator helps control the spread of the generated steam, but this ability is limited by the fact that the flow is directed exclusively upwards.
Work automation
The Polaris PUH 4405D has a humidity controller that allows you to choose one of three steam settings: low, medium and high intensity. The built-in electronic hygrostat is designed to automate the work. So, when the set humidity value is reached, the device will turn off by itself, and then — if it falls — it will start generating steam again. However according to some owners, errors in the operation of the hygrometer interfere with the full use of this function. In some cases, it "lies" by 5 – 10%, and in others — it constantly shows one value.
Automation also contributes to the timer, which allows you to set the time to turn off the device after 1 to 9 hours. In the absence of water, Polaris PUH 4405D turns itself off.
Also, the model has a separate night mode. In it, the humidity level is maintained at 65 – 70%, the light indication is dimmed, and the noise level is reduced. Although, judging by the reviews, both in night and in normal mode, the device is quite noisy.
Air and water purification
