Low-cost thermoelectric refrigerator for a car
The Pinnacle Prudence Country Trip Refrigerator is an inexpensive solution in this class that allows you to not only cool food on the outing, but also prepare food for serving hot. The capacity of the device is 30 liters and is optimal in terms of capacity and dimensions. With its dimensions of 43x43x30 cm and weight of 4.8 kg, the model is quite compact and differs little in appearance from a conventional thermal box. Between the outer and inner walls there is a heat-insulating layer of 20 mm thick polyurethane foam. To move the device, a rotary handle is used, similar to that found in the manufacturer's isothermal containers. The case made of light green or turquoise impact-resistant plastic has a reinforcement in the form of a side X-shaped recess, which acts as a stiffening rib.
Silent operation
The device uses the cooling principle popular in car refrigerators on Peltier semiconductor thermoelements, capable of transferring both heat and cold. The absence of moving parts and coolant in the design makes their operation silent. The thermal module and connectors for connecting the power cable are mounted in the hinged cover of the device, which can be removed if necessary. The appliance cools down to 15 °C below ambient temperature and heats food up to 50 °C. The model is equipped with cables with an adapter for working from a 12 V car battery and from a regular 230 V power outlet. Unfortunately, the manufacturer saved on the length of the cables and their maximum length is only enough to place a refrigerator right behind the front seats of the car. The manufacturer also offers a Pinnacle Power refrigerator similar in design and comparable in price, additionally equipped with a fan that improves cooling uniformity.
