initially, I planned to buy a baby monitor, but then I saw the video version and couldn't resist. It's not a cheap indulgence, but as a working mom, it was simply necessary for me. I would go to another room with my laptop to work and always knew what my child was up to. The image quality is mediocre, but good enough. I can't even imagine how moms used to raise us without such gadgets. If I constantly ran to check on the baby, I'd be exhausted. Now, even if my daughter wakes up, I talk to her through the monitor, and she either calms down and falls asleep or at least doesn't cry, knowing I'm nearby. Fortunately, the range of the video monitor is impressive, reaching from one end of the apartment to the other. The monitor works both plugged in and wirelessly, though ours was almost always connected. The baby unit is multifunctional, serving not just as a microphone but also as a music box. The melodies are very pleasant, and my daughter loves them. This unit also has a temperature sensor, the data from which is transmitted to the parent unit-clock. By the way, the image is transmitted even if the nursery is pitch dark. It's a cleverly designed camera equipped with sensors. The image is, of course, black and white, but at least you can see what's happening. I must say, this gadget is useful not only for infants.
