How to wash a coffee maker effectively: a practical care guideA detailed analysis of all cleaning procedures for modern coffee makers

What kind of coffee machine do you need and how to choose it?Understand the types of modern coffee machines and help with their selection
Compact coffee machine Very suitable for a small kitchen. It is possible to prepare 6 types of coffee: cappuccino, latte, latte macchiato, espresso, americano, cafe au lait. Of the advantages: adjustment of the strength of coffee, grinding degree, water hardness. Hot water can be used to make tea. The milk jug is easy to remove and can be washed in the dishwasher. Capacity of the coffee machine - 1,5 l. Noisy. The milkman does not froth milk well. |
i'll say right away that I'm not a coffee geek; I prefer to press a button and get a drink. Before using this one, I had a couple of other machines. The Philips LatteGo 5000 is not worth the money. Overall, I'm not particularly satisfied with this model. My experience with the Saeco Xelsis SS was more pleasing (you can get a decent second-hand option that's cheaper and will give you more positive emotions). intuitive menu and settings milk frother - in my opinion, its design is not very well thought out. If you like to leave milk for the next use and place the container in the fridge, specifically, in the side compartment, be prepared that the entire fridge might end up in milk with one wrong move, as the lock is located at the bottom. (For example, I liked the frother from Xelsis SS much more and didn't have any issues with it.) Cleaning // Draining // Indicators - I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to make it flat and fill the bottom, but it’s way too inconvenient. You just won't be able to carry it to the sink without spilling, and add to this the fact that the indicators only ask you to clean when it’s already too bad and the water is literally spilling over the edges. Therefore, I recommend a setup with a silicone tube to drain into a bucket or some other container. Temperature - I'll be brief: the min mark is hotter than the max. |
