The Philips compact epilator represents the branded Satinelle series and belongs to solutions in the entry-level price category. The manufacturer recommends using the device exclusively for hair removal on the legs. The model is powered by the mains and is used for mechanical epilation: the working unit used is equipped with metal discs that, when rotated, clamp and extract the hairs.

Two speeds are supported: respectively for thin and thicker (coarse) hair. The Philips Satinelle Essential BRE 245 epilator comes with three working accessories. In addition to the main nozzle, the user has a foil razor and a comb. The first actually turns the device into an electric shaver, and the second acts as a shaving height limiter. Other features of the model include the ability to wash the working units under running water, which simplifies the cleaning process. It is also worth noting that a related version of the BRE 225 is on the market, which differs in colour, is equipped exclusively with an epilation cap, but also costs a little less.
