Using the principle of cold evaporation, the model is the junior representative of the line of water humidifiers from the Dutch manufacturer Philips. The device is notable for its light weight (1.36 kg) and compact dimensions, which is rare among air washers.

However, Philips HU4707 received a 1.3-liter water tray, the full filling of which will provide at least 8 hours of continuous humidification. In most cases, this is enough either for the whole working day, or for sleeping time.

Two modes

Washing works as follows: a fan blows dry air into the interior of the appliance, where water and a humidifying filter trap dust, bacteria and other contaminants. Further, the purified air masses are saturated with moisture and are fed into the room through openings located on all sides of the housing. Unlike ultrasonic humidifiers, white deposits do not appear on furniture and other interior items.

Philips HU4707 supports two speeds. The minimum corresponds to silent (night) mode (up to 27 dB). At maximum fan speed, more intense humidification is provided (and the noise reaches 40 dB). Given the low maximum water flow (up to 150 mL/h), the overall intensity of humidification is low. Because of this, in large rooms (more than 15 – 20 m²), one such sink will probably not provide optimal humidity.

Easy to use, easy to care for

The humidifier provides simple mechanical control and is free from indicator lights that may interfere with sleep and/or work. With care, there will also be no difficulties. The tank has a smooth inner surface, and the humidifying filter does not need to be cleaned at all, it is recommended to change it every three months. However there is a need to spend money on consumables.

Philips HU4707 is an interesting solution for creating a comfortable microclimate in a children's room, a small bedroom or an office.
