Air Fryer vs. Oven: Which is Better? We explain how a multi-cooker differs from a convection oven, whether it can replace it, and which one is better
Basic version for getting acquainted with devices such as multicookers
30 November 2025
Once, my wife got the urge to buy a multicooker oven. It probably started when the microwave broke. So, without much thought, the choice fell on this model. Price, compactness, brand, design, and modes played their part in the choice. But it turned out not to be as expected.

Firstly, there are no pre-set programs in the multicooker oven. You can only change the cooking temperature and time. The meat, fish, vegetable, etc., indicators on the screen are just decorative. Maybe in other versions they’re useful, but here the functionality is limited. The buttons lack tactile feedback, and you have to be precise in hitting them.

Secondly, after a couple of weeks of daily use, the plastic smell still fills the kitchen.

Thirdly, the bowl has no window. As it turned out after purchase, there’s a similar model with a window. I still don't understand why they make it without a window.

However, all these drawbacks are overshadowed by potato dips or chicken fillet. Vegetables and fish also reached a new level. Everything is cooked without oil, yet nothing comes out dry. Instead, it’s very juicy and tasty. For cooking, it's worth using a recipe app and your own experience, as there are no paper instructions. I still haven’t managed to make popcorn (since the microwave is broken, and the multicooker oven doesn't perform this function so far).
Really delicious dishes
Completely manual and not very convenient control. No viewing window. Plastic scent.
