Practical hiking assistant
The hands-free headlamp of the French brand Petzl is optimal for tourists and lovers of outdoor activities.
The removable head strap is complemented by reflective elements (for better visibility in the dark) and a whistle. It will allow you to send an SOS signal if you are behind the group or get lost. The triple-LED housing with reflector is compatible with a variety of accessories that can be attached to a helmet or used as a bike light.
5 operating modes
Petzl Actik 2019 supports three main modes and two sub modes. At maximum brightness, the model generates a white luminous flux of 350 lm and provides visibility up to 80 metres, at standard — 100 lm and 45 metres, and at economical — 6 lm and 8 m. Battery life also changes accordingly: 2, 12 and 120 hours.
In additional modes, the flashlight shines with a red diode, which does not blind the eyes and maintains night vision sharpness. It offers constant low beam (brightness 2 lm) or flashing (strobe with visibility up to 700 metres and work up to 400 hours).
Dual power supply and increased reliability
The flashlight runs on three AAA batteries (included). It is also acceptable to use a trio of similar batteries or a proprietary 1250 mAh Core battery (sold separately). The Petzl Actik Core version is already equipped with this battery.
The case is IPX4 waterproof, so there are no barriers to using the model in the rain. The overall reliability and durability is confirmed by a 5-year official warranty, so if you are looking for a quality device that will last more than one trip, then in the middle price segment, Petzl Actik 2019 is one of the best options.
Note that on the market there are both various colour variations (black, blue and green), as well as an early version of the model (2018) — Petzl Actik. It is slightly heavier (92 grams versus 86 g), inferior in maximum brightness (300 lm), but it also lasts longer on one set of batteries (up to 260 hours).
